Frozen Yogurt at Carol's house yum.
Carol made us frozen yogurt because we live next to Berryline which makes frozen yogurt that may contain gluten, however, they are secretive about the ingredients which means we can't have it.
Carol's frozen yogurt
3 cups greek yogurt (GF!)
1/2 Cup sugar (maybe less)
1 tsp. vanilla
Put in an ice cream maker for 15 minutes.
It's delicious!
Anyways Carol thinks Berryline may have some relationship to the scandalous Pinkberry frozen yogurt which is why they are so secretive about their ingredients. Emulsifiers and stabilizers! and flavors that may contain gluten? I asked them both in writing and via email to let me know what is in it and they ignored the request. The owner sort of looked at me blankly and went into the back shrugging his shoulders. JP Licks just has a book with their ingredients as does TCBY.

Whole Foods GF bakery cupcakes saga...
We had GF cupcakes from Whole Foods in Minneapolis and they are delicious. Tried to get them here and was told it was impossible by local customer service. Don't take NO for an answer. : )

Sarah,
I have just contacted customer service, the bakery department, and leadership at the Cambridge store with specific directions on how to order in the cupcakes. Our products are sent to suppliers throughout the country and the stores order from them directly. It seems they were not aware that the cupcakes were available for ordering.
We apologize for the inconvenience and confusing. Someone from the Cambridge store should be contacting you shortly with additional information on when they will have the cupcakes in.
Thanks Again,
Kelly Brown

I go to the whole foods in Cambridge at Fresh Pond and spoke to two people in customer service and two different people in the bakery all seemed to have no clue how to do this. The baker kept telling me it was too hard for them to bake GF cupcakes. We had the GF cupcakes in Minneapolis and they are delicious and would be a great thing to keep in my freezer so my daughter can bring them to parties etc.

Hi Sarah,
Your local store can add items to their existing orders for customers. They order from a supplying warehouse, not directly from us. Stores typically order bakery products bi-weekly and if there is a product of ours they don't typically carry they can add it to their next order. The bakery department (specifically the buyer or team leader) should be familiar with this practice. Did you speak to someone in the bakery? Can you tell me store location you frequent so I can follow up with them? Sorry for the confusion and inconvenience.

On your FAQ page it says:
Can I order your products and get them shipped to me directly?
Our product line is sold exclusively at Whole Foods Market store
locations. If you do not live near a store but know you are traveling
to an area near one you can call ahead and place a special order for
the products you'd like to purchase. Most store locations require at
least 48 hours notice for special orders, but this may vary by
location in regards to Gluten Free Bakehouse products (ask someone in
the bakery department for details). Our products are shipped to the
stores frozen, so you may wish to request that they remain frozen for
ease of transport and storage. You may wish to ask about case
discounts or other in-store promotions as well. Some customers have
also solved this problem by asking a friend to ship them product
occasionally.
However, when I ask my local Whole Foods they have no idea how to
special order something from the bakehouse.
Can you help?
Thanks,
S

Unilever products gluten labeling information
Hello Sarah,
Thanks for writing!
Common ingredients that may contain gluten are rye, wheat, oats and barley, and noodles and pasta prepared with any of the previously mentioned grains. HVP, TVP, flavorings, are likely to contribute gluten as well, however, if they contain any gluten, the source would always be listed in the ingredient statements.
Since product formulations change from time to time, we do not have a printed list of products that identifies those products that contain specific allergens or gluten. The best advice we can give you is to check the ingredient list on the label. Ingredients allergens as defined by FDA: peanuts, tree nuts, soy, fish, seafood, wheat, eggs, and milk or dairy, as well as any ingredient that may contain gluten are always listed on the label
Therefore, WE SUGGEST READING ALL INGREDIENT LABELS CAREFULLY.
We hope this information is helpful!
Kind regards,
Your friends at Unilever

Art supplies / paper mache
Hi, Ross Art Paste (and possibly Elmer's Art paste, and cellulose based wall paper paste) is pure Methyl Cellulose with a little bicarbonate of soda and works really well for mache. The following site has lots of other art supplies for Celliac's people. I use both Ross and Metylan cellulose wall paper paste. If I can find my stash of Ross, I'll bring some when I come. I'm hoping to get over for a visit in June sometime. You can also get methyl cellulose from book and paper maker suppliers but it's really pricey. Hope this helps. I have a collectible doll for Zaida's collection-- I have a friend who has a toy shop who presented me with a collectible bear when I admired it. Hope I'll see you soon! C.
